For this project, I was thinking of taking inspiration from New York City for my sound. I think this will be an exciting project, as I love shoegaze music and weird, funky sounds. I was thinking about making a sound that feels like going on the subway, underground, or just walking through the city. Moreover, I would take inspiration from some of the experimental music Ive seen, mainly in Brooklyn nightlife. I would want it to be very echoed and loud, and maybe make it so the sounds are not recognizable. I want it to maybe sound a little ominous and have lots of vibrations. But I also want it to be satisfying to listen to, I feel like there are those certain sounds that really just scratch your brain right, I think that is my main goal. I want a sound that is cohesive but different. Although, I think I will get a better idea of what I want to do after I receive everyone else’s sounds so I can have a good view of what would best represent the sound I want to achieve. Moreover, once I can better understand the software I'm using I'll be able to gauge what is feasable. My Bloody Valentine is one of my favorite bands, and I think I'll try and take some inspiration from their music. They have very ominous unrecognizable sounds in the background of their music combined with lyrics that are difficult to hear and decipher, which makes a unique and interesting composition.
