I found the idea of net.art a bit confusing but also interesting. I think its ability to create communities is inspiring. I think it is extremely useful for artists to have online communities and forums to expand and diversify their art and styles. I think it could also be very helpful to inspire unique, Avante-garde art, with artists from all over bouncing off ideas and inspiration through these “servers”. Moreover, I think it would provide support for artists in their work and constructive criticism. But more than anything it creates a space where like-minded individuals have a similar goal. I think it will help motivate artists to create and, hopefully, create a safe space for people and their work. I think it's important that we recognize the internet can be used positively in a creative space, especially because in this new age of AI, people are beginning to feel weary of digital art and authenticity, so I think net.art is a great way to make the digital space more approachable. Personally, I think it would be difficult for me to engage directly with these forums, although I would love to be able to see the discourse and exchange of art within the website from an outsider's perspective. All in all, I think net.art will be extremely useful for artists, especially those in the digital art field, and will help to build communication and foster positive discourse.
